"So let us keep on coming boldly to the throne of grace, so that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." Hebrews 4:16
When it comes to kids and them asking for what they want, there is no shame in their game. Every day this little guy hands me his sippy cup and walks away. That's his way of telling me he wants a drink. He's fully confident that when he walks away that his request is going to be fulfilled.
As I sat there holding that sippy cup, it struck me how much I am not like that. I don't always come boldly. Most times I come nervously...anxiously. How sad that would make me if my children came to me that way.
My kids have coming boldly down to a science. Sometimes they don't even ask. On a recent trip to the grocery store Rhyan tossed items in the basket without even asking. What confidence! They don't know if I have the resources to fulfill their requests but that's not even a concern that enters their head.
How much more confidence should I have since I'm coming to a throne with limitless resources?
