"Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born." ~Anais Nin

These two guys would not have the pleasure of enjoying each others company had their mothers (that would be me and Ms. Kelli as my big boy calls her) not met online.
I clearly remember the day I stumbled onto Ms. Kelli's blog. I immediately thought that she would be the kind of person I'd like to sit down and have coffee with. I can immediately sense a vibe from a person--good or bad. She had some good vibes. Plus, I discovered we had mutual friends and she grew up in an Apostolic church like me. I then began following her on Twitter and was delighted to see her following me. Somehow we struck up a friendship across the miles. I soon discovered that she and her husband would be relocating from back East to Southern California for ministry work--at my sister-in-law's church of all places.
Once they arrived she asked me for daycare referrals. To make a long story short, her little guy ended up at the same daycare as my little guys and Rhyan took it upon himself to take her son under his wing.
It's safe to say that God uses Twitter too. God ordained our meeting through Twitter.
That blows my mind every time I think about it.
In the short time that she's been here, she has been a great encouragement to my soul. We both share a love for good books, coffee, the iPhone and the sweet music of Sara Groves.
I've heard it said that you can easily tell a person's character by the number of and quality of his relationships and the kind friends he has. These facts do not lie. That makes me feel pretty awesome right about now because I'm surrounded by some fantastic friendships--Ms. Kelli included.
If you're on Twitter, you can follow Ms. Kelli @kelliincali or check out her new blog 10 Things About Kelli. I'm sure you'll like her too.
